The EFCC has arrested a former governor of Imo state, Achike Udenwa, who is accused of receiving N350million which had been diverted from Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential campaign in 2015
According to sources, the former governor admitted collecting the funds from former finance minister and the director of finance of the Goodluck Jonathan campaign organisation, Esther Nenadi.
He was arrested last night, May 3, Sahara Reporters reports.
He was questioned for several hours by operatives of the anti-graft agency.
Udenwa was later released after signing a bond to repay the funds to the federal government within two weeks.
