Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has announced that the 6,000-capacity Edo Arena will be named after global afrobeats sensation, Rema. The governor made this announcement during the groundbreaking ceremony of the project in Benin City, where Rema joined him to lay the first block.

The arena, dubbed “Rema’s Dome,” will host various events, including concerts, conferences, and symposiums, attracting visitors to the state and creating employment opportunities for youths. Rema, born Divine Ikubor, is a proud ambassador of Edo State, promoting its rich culture and legacy in his music.
