The PDP candidate in Saturday’s gubernatorial election, Godwin Obaseki, is leading his closest challenger, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of APC by more than 80,000 votes from the results of 13 local government areas that have so far been released.
The Herald can report that the election held in the 18 Local Government Areas, 192 Wards, and 2,627 polling units in the state.
Figures released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that Obaseki obtained 240,935 votes compared to Ize-Iyamu’s 154,192 votes in the 13 LGAs.
This is more than 80,000 lead.
