According to a new survey, Eden Hazard is regarded as the second most valuable player in world football, and has been valued at least £7 million more than Cristiano Ronaldo in a new survey.
The report by the International Centre for Sports Studies says the Chelsea player is worth between £99 million and £110 million while the Real Madrid player has a value of between £83 million and £92 million.
The reason behind the valuations are no doubt down to the age of both men.
While England’s player of the year Hazard is 24, Ronaldo is 30 and six years his senior.
Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling is the highest valued British player ahead of Tottenham forward Harry Kane and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.
The young Spurs forward Kane is positioned at 15th in the list and is valued at £40 or £44 million while Bale – bought by Real Madrid from Spurs for a world record fee of £85 millon – has a figure of £38 or £42 million which would represent a massive loss if Madrid were to accept such a fee.
