An Abuja-based Nigerian woman has accused Ecobank of absconding with her stolen N500, 000.
She lamented that the bank forced her to abandon the case by frustrating her efforts.
Narrating her ordeal through a series of Tweets, the victim’s brother, claimed she was attacked by robbers in Abuja, who withdrew N100, 000 from her ATM.
Not done, the criminals transferred N500, 000 from her GTBank account to their Ecobank account.

The victim was said to have reported at her bank, who in turn confirmed with Ecobank that the money is still in the receiving account.
Ecobank froze the account but allegedly requested a court order to refund her money, which took another two months and up to N100, 000 in legal charges.
According to the victim, after getting the court order, Ecobank claimed the money has gone missing.
