This was contained in a message jointly signed by the Chairman, Ademola Babalola and the Secretary, Sola Oladapo and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan.

The union prayed for the power of resurrection to conquer COVID-19 currently ravaging the world and creating economic hardship for all.

It called on members to emulate the virtues of love, selflessness, patience and perseverance exhibited by Jesus Christ.

The union urged media practitioners to be more committed to the development of the state, Nigeria and the world at large.

It also enjoined them to put their faith in God and join forces with government to tame the rampaging pandemic in the country soon.

The union appealed to members to comply with government’s directives and observe preventive measures reeled out by health professionals against the spread of the virus.

It reminded members on the need to follow its directive on suspension of all physical interviews as part of the preventive measures against COVID-19.
