The Department of State Services (DSS) have in a peculiar move recalled 50 per cent of its operatives attached to the Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara.
This is according to an exclusive report from the news agency TheCable.
The recall was sudden and comes with the crucial meeting between the Presidency and a delegation of nPDP members which is being led by Dogara. Saraki was also a member of the now defunct nPDP before crossing lines to team up with the APC for the 2015 elections.
There has so far been no reason for the recall and beyond the fact that the DSS operatives were said to withdraw with ‘immediate effect’ little else is known.
According to TheCable, the DSS were unavailable for comment, but the report was confirmed by sources at the National Assembly.
The meeting between the nPDP and the APC is an important one as the members of the nPDP have long since felt marginalised and unappreciated in the party.
Rumours have been rife that the nPDP members might move back to PDP with alleged deals already in place for the likes of Saraki, Dogara, Aminu Tambuwal and so on.
