The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested five abductors of a six-year-old boy, Abdallah Abdulkadir Salisu, in Kano.
An operative of the secret police that led the operation disclosed that the abduction of Salisu, of Gadon Kaya, Gwale LGA, was masterminded by his cousin, Abdulhadi Ibrahim.
He said that the abductors’ ages ranged from 16 to 20 years.
According to the DSS official, the boys hatched the operation to generate enough money to celebrate the recent Eid-el-Kabir.
