Nigerian rapper, CDQ says his ongoing ordeal with the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) started with false accusations by yet-to-be-identified persons.
Recall that NDLEA arrested the music artiste, whose real name is Sodiq Yusuf, in his home in the highbrow Lekki area of Lagos on Wednesday night for possession of illicit drugs.
Spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi confirmed CDQ’s arrest, adding that a substance known as ‘loud’ – which is a variant of cannabis – was found in his home.
“Yes, CDQ was arrested in his house at Lekki for being in possession of cannabis. He was arrested based on intelligence. As of last (Wednesday) night, he was granted administrative bail, but he is expected back into custody today because it is an ongoing investigation.

“Some substances were found and he mentioned some names of some other big artistes. So, it is an ongoing investigation,” he told The Punch on Thursday.
Reacting to his ordeal in a Thursday tweet, CDQ disclosed that his mother prayed for God’s support to see him through.
He said that she also advised him to leave everything to God to exact vengeance on his enemies.
“Whoever is behind all these false accusations it shall boomerang on them and their family…
“They can’t spoil the name I built with sweat n blood,” the artiste said.
