The Nigeria Police Force has warned celebrities and bloggers purveying different narratives about the death of musician, Mohbad to desist.
Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed this in a statement.
The police image maker said this while responding to an X user who lamented the plethora of conspiracy theories surrounding the death of the 27-year-old musician on September 12.
The X user, @Muhyideen001 said, “There is need to warn all the bloggers carrying different narrations. They should allow investigation to be done and when the result is out they can then be posting. I have seen several posts that are very complicated about the case.”
Responding, Adejobi said, “I have warned the so-called bloggers and celebs to allow us to do our work. They should not use Mohbads’ death to cruise or mobilise followers.
“They need to wait for the outcome of the investigation.
“Anyone who makes comments (affirmatively) on the issue might be invited by the police or any security agency to corroborate or testify in the case.
“You’d better be careful and allow the law to take its course.
“The law is wide and complex and could, at the same time, be flexible. Be warned.”
