Don’t Be Deceived By the Advocates of Change, Nigeria Needs Transformation – Mimiko

Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has cautioned Nigerians against voting for advocates of change because their presidential candidate lacks the ability to run a 21st century government.

Mimiko made this statement during a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo-North senatorial district on Wednesday.

He said “Do not be deceived by the advocates of retrogressive change. Their presidential candidate lacks the intellectual competence and capability to run a 21st century government.”

He warned Nigerians that the elections should not be based on sentiments, but on the continuity of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.

President Goodluck Jonathan has also said that Nigeria needs transformation, not change because people change every day and transformation is more tangible than change.

The president stated this during the Peoples Democratic Party presidential rally held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Edo State capital.

He said “Change takes place every day. If you move from your bedroom to your sitting room, you ‎have made a change. But you have not transformed yourself. If you move from your sitting room to your kitchen, you have changed. But you have not transformed ‎yourself.

“We will move this country forward. Singapore and Nigeria used to be on the same level. But someone transformed Singapore from third-world to first-world. That is the transformation we are talking about. We are not talking about somebody turning and saying, I’ve changed,we are talking about transformation.”
