Some supporters of Republican presidential hopeful, Donald Trump were denied entrance into a hall in the Central College, Pella in the US State of Iowa on Saturday where he was billed to speak.
Despite freezing weather conditions, many of the billionaire candidate’s supporters could not gain entrance into the event, with some of them having driven for hours and across state lines.
But some members of the campaign team went down the long line of supporters waiting to enter the building to explain that many of them might find it impossible to gain entrance.
According to Huffington Post, many of the supporters, though armed with their tickets, were left in the cold because of the campaign team’s complaint about the town’s fire code, a hint that the building might become overcrowded if everyone was let in.
However, many of the supporters didn’t seem to mind that they were denied the chance to see the candidate first hand, stating that they would get their chance another day.
“It is OK if we don’t get in, because I know there will be other chances,” said Jeffery Dunlap, who had driven four hours from Kansas City with his son to watch the candidate speak.
