US Republican presidential hopeful, Donald Trump, has sparked another controversy, after he threatened to punch a protester in the face on Monday night.
At a rally before the Nevada caucuses, a protester was escorted out of the venue by security operatives.
But the controversial billionaire was not one to let off the “nasty as hell” protester without a verbal reprimand, adding that he would “like to punch him (the protester) in the face”.
The politician, who was urged on by the crowd, also took a swipe Republican opponent, Ted Cruz, calling the senator from Texas “sick”.
He equally accused the protester of trying to punch law enforcement officers who escorted him out of the venue of the rally, adding that the heckler was smiling and “having a good time” as he was being sent off.
Continuing, Trump said “in the old days”, protesters like the him would be “carried out on stretchers”.
