Donald Trump Shades Taylor Swift over Support for Democrat

2 Min Read

President Donald Trump has turned his laser-guided tongue towards singer Taylor Swift after the latter endorsed a Democrat.

The singer has made it a habit of playing Switzerland when it came to her ideological beliefs.

Swift is a very Southern girl, an area that’s generally Republican, but she’s in an industry that is more often than not skewed towards the Democrats.

Recently, the Tennessee native had endorsed the Democratic candidate in her state for the midterms.

Speaking on Instagram, the ‘Look what you made me do’ singer said that she could not support Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee stating that the congresswoman’s values were not consistent with “MY Tennessee values”.

“Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me,” Swift said.

The singer instead threw her weight behind former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen and Democratic Rep. Jim Cooper instead.

“In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift said.

When confronted with the singer’s opinion, Trump was supportive of the congresswoman

“I’m sure Taylor Swift has nothing or doesn’t know anything about her,” Trump said, adding that “Blackburn is doing a very good job in Tennessee.”

When pressed further on Swift, Trump said:  “And let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now, OK?”
