The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2019, Donald Duke said he paid N400,000 as tax between 2015 and 2017 from the NN5,618,419 he made during the period.
He made the disclosure in the tax certificate he attached to his Form CF001 and presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of necessary documents to back his candidature.
Also, Duke, who said he made the money from business, stressed that he had never been indicted by any judicial panel for fraud and has never been enmeshed in certificate forgery.
In his academic credentials submitted to the commission, Duke passed all subjects he sat for in the West African Examination (WAEC) school certificate examination he sat for in 1977.
He further graduated with a Second Class (Upper) Division degree in Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Duke will be contesting against leading candidates, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as many others in the presidential election scheduled for February 14, 2019.
