Mavin Records boss and executive music producer, Don Jazzy, has weighed in on the proposed establishment of a new unit of the police to substitute the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
It was earlier reported that the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu had revealed the proposed formation of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team to “fill the gaps” arising from the dissolution of SARS.
The IGP also gave the directive that all operatives of the disbanded SARS to report to Abuja for debriefing and medical examination.

However, while giving his opinion on the development, Don Jazzy in a post via his Twitter account, pressed on the fact that the new unit of the Nigerian Police Force called SWAT should be dissolved as well before the Government begins to list unnecessary expenditure used in setting up the unit.
“They should just end this SWAT now before it starts o.
“’Nobi’ tomorrow now they will say they spent money to do logo, spend money to do uniforms.
“Don’t spend any money o, end it now before it matures,” he said.
