Welcome to Springfield, Stewie.
“The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” are planning a crossover episode where two of television’s most famous animated family’s will finally meet, sources from FOX confirmed to the Daily News.
The cartoon mash-up, dubbed “The Simpsons Guy,” will feature Peter Griffin and family taking a road trip and ending up in the Simpsons’ home turf of Springfield.
The families hit it off immediately, with Marge and Lois becoming pals and Homer and Peter taking time to debate the merits of Duff beer over Pawtucket. Stewie and Bart, of course, compare their arsenal of pranks.
The episode is scheduled to hit the airwaves fall 2014. But it’s not the first time that the two shows have crossed over.
“Simpsons” cast member Dan Castellaneta had a cameo in an October 2012 episode of “Family Guy,” and “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane starred on “The Simpsons” latest season finale.
