Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has set up an ad-hoc committee on welfare which according to him is in line with the standing rules of the lower chamber.
In a statement by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Jerry Manwe, Dogara noted that membership of the committee “are drawn from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).”
The statement said Hon. Nasiru Baballe Ila would serve as Chairman of the committee, while Hon. Igbinedion Omosede Gabriella would be the Deputy Chairman.
Members of the committee include Hon. Sam Onuigbo, Hon. Namdas Abdulrazak Sa’ad, Hon. Emmanuel Akpan, Hon. Eucheria Anazodo, Hon. Haliru Dauda Jika, Hon. Daniel Henry Ofongo, Hon. Adamu Ochepo Entonu, Hon. Ayuba Mohammed Bello and Hon. Edim Eta Mbora.
Other members are Hon. Segun Williams, Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, Hon. Olasupo Abiodun Adeola, Hon. Edward Gyang, Hon. Gogo Bright, Hon. Isa Salihu Bashar, Hon. Danladi Baido, Hon. Ya’u Galadima and Hon. Abubakar Husseini, Hon. Ahmed Safana Dayyabu, Hon. Mohammed Umar Jega, Hon. Ajanah Muhammed Kabir, Hon. Funke Adedoyin, Hon. Rita Orji, Hon. Musa Baba Onwana, Hon. Mahmood Agai.
