A dog, whose owner is still unknown, has attacked and killed a nursery school pupil, David Emmanuel. The dog also injured another child, named Benita Adejoh, at a school in Rumuagholu in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
It was gathered that the owner of the dog is out of the country but left it in the care of his security guard.
The dog was said to have escaped from the compound when the gate was left open, went to the primary school, which was nearby and unfenced, where it attacked its victims.

Emmanuel died at a hospital where he and Adejoh, were rushed to after the attack.
Furious residents consequently stoned the dog to death. The police visited the school after the incident and arrested the head teacher for negligence.
