Omotayo Oyebanjo, the estranged wife of Kayode Oladotun, popularly known as Do2dtun, a well-known On-Air Personality, has made a public plea, urging her ex-husband to refrain from involving their children in their ongoing divorce proceedings.
In a statement shared on Sunday via her Instagram account, Omotayo emphasized that their two daughters should be shielded from the turbulence of their marital separation. She rebutted allegations made by Do2dtun regarding his access to their children, asserting that he does have access to them.
The estranged wife further revealed distressing incidents of domestic violence and emotional abuse, narrating a harrowing account of a forced abortion she allegedly endured during her marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2013 and had two children together, began experiencing strains in their relationship. In November 2021, Omotayo initiated divorce proceedings, citing relentless emotional abuse, forced abortion, and domestic violence. The divorce case is currently before Justice AI Akobi of Court 23, High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, under Suit Number: GWD/PET/25/2021.
Do2dtun had previously expressed concerns about being denied access to see his daughters, a claim refuted by Omotayo, who emphasized the need to preserve their children’s privacy, especially due to their young age.
Omotayo urged for an amicable resolution regarding the children’s custody, highlighting that legal channels had already been initiated by her legal team. She urged Do2dtun’s lawyers to reciprocate, ensuring the confidentiality of her address during these proceedings.
