DJ Khaled has been in the news for the better half of this year. Whether it’s his antics on Snapchat or his penchant for bringing the best musicians together on his songs, Khaled sure knows how to put himself in the public eye.
But that is not why we are interested in him now. Recall that in 2013, the heavyset musician proposed on live TV to Nicki Minaj and he even admitted to having ‘more than a crush’ on the rapper. He told Power 106’s DJ Felli Fel about the proposal, “I just had to be honest man, I always liked her, she’s my friend of course. I liked her, it’s more than a crush…,” said Khaled. “She out there hustling and I respect. I feel that I can take of her.”
It has just emerged that the rapper may indeed be married. He was married at the time he made that proposal to Minaj. His wife Nicole Tuck is a former wardrobe stylist and owner of clothing line ABU Apparell. They have been together for a long time. In fact, they were both spotted recently spending time aboard their yacht Carpe Diem. The pair were pictured relaxing with friends on the 75 foot Lazzara yacht.
Does this mean the proposal to Nicki Minaj was a well planned publicity stunt to promote his 2013 album ‘Suffering from Success’? It appears so.
