2 Min Read

Renowned disc jockey, DJ Cuppy, has candidly addressed the recent rumors surrounding her failed engagement with British boxer Ryan Taylor during a Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) conference in London. The popular DJ, whose engagement made headlines in December 2022, shed light on the setbacks she has encountered in various aspects of her life.

Speculations about the split arose on July 15 when DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor unfollowed each other on social media. Addressing the audience at the conference, Cuppy touched on her journey, recounting challenges that included her failed jewellery line and academic struggles at the University of Oxford.

Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background,” Cuppy shared. She reflected on the failed jewellery line venture, which she pursued at the age of 28, and the academic hurdles she faced at Oxford when she was 29, nearly failing a class.

Acknowledging the uncertainties that life presents, DJ Cuppy confirmed her changed relationship status, stating, “Perhaps a cherry on top, last year I got engaged, and I am no longer engaged, but such is life, and I know my story is still happening, and there is more to come, and I am okay with the uncertainties.
