The senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has accused the police of subjecting the children of Senator Dino Melaye (PDP – Kogi West) to unnecessary hardship.
Murray-Bruce made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
He said that despite finding nothing incriminating in the house, the police refused to allow electricity in the house, making the senator’s children sleep in darkness.
He said, “So after Dino Melaye surrendered himself to Police, the Police did a thorough search of his house and found nothing.
“Yet, the police have refused Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) from reconnecting his power.
“Currently, Dino’s kids are left to sleep in darkness and under very horrific conditions.”
