Amid the uncertainty occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, Kogi West Senator in the 8th Senate, Dino Melaye has devised an innovative way to keep his debtors alive long enough to pay their debts.
The controversial senator took to his Twitter handle on Monday morning to hint his 1.5 million followers.
Melaye said he has been distributing hand sanitisers and face masks to his debtors for the prevention of the deadly virus.
The jovial senator added that he has also been checking on the debtors to make sure they stayed at home and maintained social distancing.
Not willing to take chances, he further disclosed that he has also been backing these preventive measures with prayers.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 1,273 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria as of Sunday, April 26.
The agency said 40 of those persons have died while 239 have been discharged.
Globally, 3,003,352 cases have been confirmed with 207,094 deaths as of 08:22 GMT today.
