Rumors of a simmering beef between Diddy and Drake have lingered in hip-hop discussions, chiefly caused by news of a scuffle revolving around the original ownership of the song 0 to 100. The two had an alleged altercation last winter over the beat, which Combs previously claimed first belonged to him while performing at a club. A different clip of Drake grabbing a mic from the Bad Boy exec, seen as a sign of disrespect, spurred countless gifs and also sparked speculation.
The mogul stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about a host of topics and definitively put those thoughts to rest. Charlemagne and Envy both brought up past issues with Drake, but Puff denounced any bad blood. He also added jokingly that “He doesn’t want any problems with Drake”
“I do not want any problems with Drake… I didn’t do nothing to Drake. Drake’s my friend. Drake is actually my favorite rapper,” he admitted. “As far as songwriting and albums, it’s been like that for a couple of years.”
Diddy went on to address the Toronto rapper’s seemingly dormant back-and-forth with Meek Mill, fatherhood, his forthcoming project, and spending time with Kanye West in the studio.
