On The recent episode of the Late Late Show, Host James Corden popped on over to London where he sat on the other side of the car to pick up Adele for a round of “Carpool Karaoke.”
The two sang some of her greatest hits, including “Hello” and “Rolling in the Deep,” and Corden pulled out his very best harmonies, which seemed to surprise and delight Adele.
They discussed Adele’s hair which Corden approves of the new bob, even though Adele worries “it’s a mum bob” done in the style of one of her heavy influences, the Spice Girls. And then they sang a Spice Girls song.
Also Corden pitched himself as the ideal “hype man” that Adele should bring on her upcoming tour you know, to rev up the audience on the more upbeat numbers.
What stood out in the whole karaoke was when Adele rapped one of the verses to Nicki Minaj’s hit song ‘Monster’. Without missing a beat, Adele delivered every line word for word! Does this mean we should expect more of Adele rapping in her other songs? Only time would tell.
