Did Festus Keyamo Just Shade Oby Ezekwesili?

2 Min Read

Popular Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo SAN appeared to have thrown a shade at former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili following a series of tweets in which she called for a boycott of the two major political parties in the country in the 2019 election.

Ezekwesili, who is a former World Bank Vice President, had taken Twitter by storm on Thursday morning by declaring that she would support neither the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nor Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election.

She tweeted via her verified Twitter handle: I have a Political Agenda for 2019 Elections.

It is that neither APC nor its twin brother (yes, how does 6 differ from half a dozen?) PDP should win the 2019 State and Federal legislative and executive Elections.

I am totally committed to this Agenda…

My Political Agenda is SIMPLE.

I shall ACTIVELY campaign against APC and PDP in the 2019 Elections EXCEPT in rare cases where they field NEW MINDS with STRONG RECORD of Public Interest.

I shall ACTIVELY campaign FOR the BEST CANDIDATES of all OTHER PARTIES in the Elections.

However, Keyamo appeared to shade her in a Friday afternoon tweet via his verified Twitter handle.

He tweeted, Posturing on social media is a million miles from d world of REAL POLITICS. Plenty of followers on social media is not a true test of political clout. If you’re not part of a political platform, actively seeking political participation, your posturing would be like comedy skits.
