Denrele Edun, the well-known Nigerian crossdresser and media personality, has recently shared a deeply personal and challenging chapter of his life – a battle with a stroke that left a lasting impact on his health.
In an interview with Channels TV that has now gone viral, Denrele spoke candidly about the tough period in his life when he faced the debilitating effects of a stroke, particularly affecting half of his face. The media personality revealed that he was very ill during this time, and the stroke had a profound impact on his physical well-being.
Recalling the distressing experience, Denrele explained how the stroke resulted in the closure of his left eye and a noticeable shift in his facial features. Despite the severity of the situation, Denrele displayed remarkable resilience, continuing to work even in the midst of his health struggles.
“I had just come out of having a stroke on half of my face, I was very sick. But it still did not stop me from working. My face was dropping on the right side; anytime I had to drink water, it would pour out of my mouth. One of my eyes was widely opened, and I couldn’t hear and breathe,” he shared in the interview.
