Hundreds of protesters on Tuesday assembled downtown in Helsinki to protest forced return of Afghan asylum seekers, local media reported.
The protest was the continuation of a demonstration held on Monday at Helsinki Airport to oppose the latest flight, which was transporting 10 rejected Afghan asylum seekers from Helsinki to Kabul.
The local media said that it was the third flight taking rejected asylum seekers out of Finland this year.
Police said that the number of protesters amounted to no fewer than 600, out of whom 100 protesters gathered in front of the Interior Ministry. (Xinhua/NAN)
