Angry traders at the popular Ogbegonogo market in Asaba set ablaze three suspected pick-pockets following their failure to pick customers’ pocket.
It was gathered they position themselves unsuspectingly in strategic places within the market premises often times pretending to be passengers waiting for commercial tricyle and immediately they see their victim, they rush as he/she, pretending to be struggling in the process remove their money from their pockets.
According to the chairman of Asaba community vigilante outfit, Nnamdi Chukwuedi said the suspects were caught and in anger the irate trades set them ablaze after pouring them kerosene substance.
He said that many of the pick-pockets are youth who after smoking Indian hemp, join bad gangs to engage in criminal acts.
