The Defence Headquarters has reacted to reports of an impending Terror attack by Boko Haram Terrorists on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche said security agencies have been placed on alert and pro-active measures were being taken to contain the threat.
Excerpts from the statement of the Defence spokesperson read,
“The Armed Forces of Nigeria working together with other security and response agencies particularly the core intelligence agencies hereby assure the general public that preventive and preemptive intelligence is ongoing. The general public is thus advised to go about their lawful businesses undeterred.”
The Police Command for the FCT also said it was talking pro-active measures to contain the Boko Haram threat.

The spokesperson for the FCT Command, Anjuguri Manza said the police was working in synergy with other security agencies to strengthen security in the capital.
Nigeria customs issued a warning about the influx of Boko Haram terrorists in the FCT as well as planned terror attacks in five locations.
