Anchor University, owned by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, is set to commence operation as the facilities required for take-off have been completed, reports say.
The school, envisioned to be a pace-setter in educational and moral standards, will commence operations with 5 faculties at its Ayobo, Lagos campus.
These include: Arts, Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, School of Management and Accounting.
It was gathered that the administrative staff to run the school have also been employed.
The school was initially set to to be commissioned in September 2012, but the National Universities Commission (NUC) team led by Prof. Celestine Onwuliri coming to inspect it for approval got involved in the Dana Air crash of June 3, 2012, in which 157 lives were lost.
Since then, it has been a race against time to ensure that everything is put in place before another NUC team would come for inspection of the school, it was learnt.
The result of this, City People reports, are imposing administrative blocks, hostels, faculties, chalets and laboratories that are set on a wide expanse of land in the sleepy Lagos suburb of Ayobo, which also plays home to the headquarters of the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC).
