The demise of a Nollywood actor, Obi Madubogwu and Mayweather vs McGregor boxing fight dominated searches on the internet search engine Google, this week.

“Fans of the actor took to Google to confirm the sad news and also share condolence messages with friends and family of the actor,’’ he said.
He said that the highly anticipated professional boxing match between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor was held last Sunday.
He said that the fight tagged, “The Money Fight,’’ was undoubtedly the biggest fight in combat sports history between two world champions.
“Floyd Mayweather Jr. who is an undefeated eleven-time five-division boxing world champion knocked out his opponent Conor McGregor, a two-division mixed martial arts world champion, in the 10th round.
“The fight was aired live on Aug. 27 at 3:00a.m. Nigerians that were unable to watch it live later searched Google for video clips of the legendary fight,’’ he said.
The Google manager said that the Hurricane Harvey in Houston on Aug. 27 got people’s attention too.
“Hurricane Harvey stormed the city of Texas leaving some eight people dead and thousands displaced.
“As a result of the continuous rains it has been reported that a large part of the city is under water.
“As rescue mission continues, well-wishing Nigerians visited Google to search for updates about the situation in Houston,’’ he said.
In the final episode of the hit TV series Game of Thrones, Season 7, episode 7, aired last weekend, viewers were surprised at the turn of events on the show, Kola-Ogunlade said.
He said that they were also disappointed at the news that they would have to wait two years to watch the next season.

He said that in the world of sports, the Chelsea vs Everton match which Chelsea won with a 2-0 victory over Everton at the Stamford Bridge got sports lovers attention online.

“Excited fans raced to Google search to get more details on the match,’’ he said.
