Dbanj In Trouble Over N100million Debt

Nigerian entertainer, D’banj is in trouble according to an exclusive document released linking the artiste to a N100 million unpaid debt scandal.

D’banj according to the document signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, with a technology company, Mindhub Technologies on October 19, 2012 for the promotion of a concert organised by his media house, D’Kings Men Media Ltd and contained in the document is a clause which holds the artiste responsible in the event that D”Kings Media fails to pay.

In a recent development, Mindhub Technologies has filed a suit against the artiste for failing to pay an outstanding sum of $240,000 and N6,400,000.

According to the document released exclusively to Pulseng, D’Kings media house had paid $260,000 and N8,600,000, installments of the amount owed and left the remaining sum unpaid.

The issue which has since been filed legally with evidence of the bank teller issued by Dbanj.

The Skye Bank cheque with number 10000039 was issued by Dbanj on December 29, 2013, in the sum of $240,000 in the Mindhub’s Vice Chairman’s name, Henry Ojogho,was however reported to have failed due to insufficient funds in the account.

The suit further entered another GT Bank cheque with number 00000046 dated January 20, 2014, issued by D’banj in the sum of N15,000,000 to be credited to Mindhub Technologies which also returned unpaid.

The case which was entered in 2015 to recover the unpaid debt is set before Justice Oyebanjo of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division.

The case will be due for hearing on December 9, 2016.
