Davido’s popular wedding song, ‘Ogechi Remix’, has been taken down from YouTube due to copyright claims. The song, a collaboration with BoyPee, Brown Joel, and Hyce, was uploaded on July 19, 2024, but is no longer accessible on the platform.
According to reports, the original version of ‘Ogechi’ was created by a different artist before the remix. A video circulating online reveals that the original artist’s work was used without permission, leading to the copyright claim.
While the music video is no longer available on YouTube, the audio can still be found on BoyPee’s official page. Notably, Davido is not credited as the official artist on YouTube for the song.
This development comes as a surprise to fans, as ‘Ogechi Remix’ was a highly celebrated song performed live at Davido’s wedding to Chioma on June 25, 2024.
