According to reports, the original version of ‘Ogechi’ was created by a different artist before the remix. A video circulating online reveals that the original artist’s work was used without permission, leading to the copyright claim.
While the music video is no longer available on YouTube, the audio can still be found on BoyPee’s official page. Notably, Davido is not credited as the official artist on YouTube for the song.
This development comes as a surprise to fans, as ‘Ogechi Remix’ was a highly celebrated song performed live at Davido’s wedding to Chioma on June 25, 2024.
