Davido’s Uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, won the PDP gubernatorial ticket for Osun state and will now be PDP’s flagbearer in the upcoming elections.
The ‘IF’ and ‘FIA’ singer was on hand to congratulate his uncle on his win.
Davido’s uncle will now compete in September 22nd elections in hopes that he can win the election.
The singer took to Twitter to congratulate his uncle writing: “Congratulations to Senator Ademola Adeleke on winning the PDP gubernatorial primaries!! , the incoming governor of Osun state.”

The singer also used the opportunity to remember his late uncle, Isiaka Adeleke, who he said would be proud of his uncle’s win.

In a recent interview, Nigerian singer, Yonder, spoke on why he would always be grateful to Davido. The singer has been on a steady rise in recent times and speaking to the Vanguard, said that he would always be in Davido’s debt.
He said: “I’m going to be forever grateful to Davido for believing in me and for also giving me this huge platform. I’ve been staying humble and I’m going to be humble at all times. I just got myself a new PR and project management team so I believe things will turn out for best.”
He also says that moving forward, he believes he can do well and that God will be there for him, “No one can get to know God’s plan; I may not be here or may have gone past this level. I always work with God’s time and plan, so let God’s will be done. I’m still a work in progress and I will humble myself any day any time to allow God’s plan fulfill itself.”
