Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has finally broken his silence following the recent accusations made by two women claiming that he impregnated them. The renowned artist, who recently celebrated his union with his long-time partner Chioma, found himself in the spotlight on June 28 when a US-based businesswoman named Anita Brown came forward, asserting that she is carrying Davido’s child.
Anita alleged that she met Davido in Dubai back in 2017, leading many to speculate that a reference to Anita in his song “Assurance” was directed at her. To bolster her claim, she shared screenshots of her conversations with Davido and even went as far as taking a pregnancy test on video, which she promptly shared on various online platforms.
As the news of Anita’s revelation continued to reverberate, another woman named Ivanna Bay, hailing from Paris, came forward on her Instagram page, accusing Davido of impregnating her as well. In a manner similar to Anita, Ivanna also shared screenshots of her conversations with the singer and provided a video of her undergoing a pregnancy test as evidence supporting her claims.
Throughout this entire saga, Davido remained silent on social media until late last night. While he has yet to address the allegations made by the two women directly, he did take to his Instagram stories to share a poster of his hit song “Unavailable” from his Timeless album. This action may be seen as his way of indirectly acknowledging the ongoing situation while maintaining a sense of poise and focus on his music.
