Davido Reacts to Osun Gubernatorial Results

2 Min Read

David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido has reacted following the results announced for the Osun state elections.

Davido has been pretty vocal about his involvement in these elections as his Uncle, Ademola Adeleke is the aspirant running under the banner of the PDP.

According to the singer, he is relaxed as he’s certain of victory.

He took to his Twitter to say:”Victory is certain which ever way …. God’s plan 🙏🏽 issokay”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said that the results of the election were inconclusive even though Adeleke technically had more votes than his opposition.

This was because the margin between the two candidates was less than the number of votes cancelled during the election.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ademola Adeleke led the polls with 254, 698 votes while his closest rival Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 254, 345 votes; the number of cancelled votes was put at 3,498.

Since the cancelled votes could have gone either way, it’s a variable that cannot be ignored and therefore no winner could be picked.

“I hereby declare this election inconclusive”. announced  INEC returning officer Isaac Adeola Fuwape

Davido has been on Twitter all day stating his opinions on the elections and in all that time maintained that his uncle would surely take the day
