Nigerian music sensation, Davido, has encouraged American rapper Kanye West to consider a collaboration with Puma following West’s recent public criticism of Adidas on social media.
Kanye West took to Instagram on Monday to express his discontent with Adidas, accusing the brand of selling a Yeezy design without his approval. This accusation comes in the wake of Adidas terminating its collaboration with West in 2022, citing a series of antisemitic remarks as the reason.
In a video message, West poured his grievances, stating, “Not only are they Adidas putting out fake colorways that are non-approved, they’re suing me for $250 million, and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it.” The billionaire rapper’s frustration was palpable as he revealed the alleged mistreatment he has faced from his former collaborator.
Seizing the opportunity to offer a supportive hand, Davido, who currently holds the position of a global ambassador for Adidas rival Puma, took to his Instagram story. He urged West to consider a fresh start with Puma, writing, ” Come to @puma Ye @kanyewest.”
