Nigerian artists Davido and Lojay have been recognized for their contributions to chart-topping records on the Billboard Hip Hop and R&B charts. They are among the artists featured on Billboard’s 2024 Honour Roll, which celebrates achievements between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.
Davido and Lojay made the list courtesy of their work on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’, which reached number one on the Adult R&B Airplay Chart. This milestone highlights the growing global commercial success of Afrobeats, particularly in the United States.
Davido and Chris Brown have collaborated on several records, including ‘Hmm’ off Chris Brown’s 11th album ’11:11′. Lojay’s hit single ‘Monalisa’ also features Chris Brown on the remix.
Both Davido and Lojay are expected to release new albums in 2024, with fans eagerly anticipating another collaboration between Davido and Chris Brown. This recognition by Billboard further solidifies their positions as leading artists in the Afrobeats genre.
