President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and Chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has commended the Chairman of Forte Oil, Mr. Femi Otedola for transforming Forte Oil to a world class company.
Dangote made the comments when he was paid a courtesy visit by Otedola and the Forte Oil management team at his office on Wednesday.
He said, “You (Otedola) have disciplined yourself to ensure that Forte is now performing well and we congratulate you.”
“We will continue to bring a confidence to the market. We will continue to attract more investors to the market and have companies to remain compliant just like Forte Oil is doing today. We congratulate you for the good leadership you have given to Forte Oil,” he said.
Dangote also assured stockbrokers present that many multinationals in telecommunications, oil, power and other economically strategic sectors would soon be listed.
He further hinted that the stock exchange would introduce a new trading platform called Gen X in the third quarter of this year, saying the platform would revolutionize the Nigerian capital market and enhance transparency.
