Daily Devotion: Lessons From The Ground

Memorise: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John 12:24

Read: GALATIANS 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

MESSAGE
A few years ago, a man told me that he had been following me since I had been a lecturer in University and also a Pastor.
He said that he noticed that I have remained the same all these years no change at all, just consistent in my service to God.
I responded that dead people don’t change. The ground is a place for the dead. According to our memory verse, when something falls into the ground and does, a new life begins; this time around, the new life does not remain alone, it blossoms such that it births others. This has been my story.

I am fulfilling my destiny today because I died to the flesh a long time ago, and was reborn in the spirit. If you want to blossom and yield great fruits in life, then you die to your flesh.

The desires of the flesh like overeating, lust, gossipping, laziness and sin in general must be dead in your life.
It is after these desires are dead that a new and blossoming life begins.

You will discover that you can outperform the best student in academics, become wiser than your peers, and that the things that used to seem impossible to you before are possible. If only your flesh can die, then there is a lot that you can achieve.
