Daily Devotion: Divine Mercy

5 Min Read

Topic: Divine Mercy

PERSONAL DAILY CONFESSION:

I confess today, I live a life of grace, divine health, divine ability, progress and prosperity to the glory of God. He has made a new dawn of breakthrough over my life, I do not labour or gather in vain because Christ in me is the hope of glory. The lord orders my steps and my utterance, He gives me power to get wealth and with Christ in my life, all things are possible. Hallelujah!

Memorize: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, – Ephesians 2:4

Bible Reading: Romans 9:15-16 (KJV)

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Thursday MESSAGE:

The only reason you and I are still alive today is God’s mercy. Divine mercy is that important (Lamentations 3:22).

We can rejoice however, that God is very rich in mercy and as a matter of fact, He is the Father of mercies. He gives His mercy to us as a gift every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23. 2 Corinthians 1:3)

His mercy guides you in your journey through life. In His mercy, you meet certain people who help you fulfil destiny; you also avoid certain people or actions that might lead you astray. It is by this same mercy that I joined the RCCG.

I had wanted to travel abroad on a Commonwealth scholarship. After passing the exams, we were tested on dining etiquette.

As a boy bred in the village, I dipped the bread we were served in the stew and stuffed it in my mouth.

That was the end. I stayed in Nigeria and became a lecturer at the University of Lagos. It was while I was there that I was introduced to the RCCG. It was pure mercy. Exodus 15:13 says:

Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.”

God does not need permission from anyone to show you mercy. Romans 9:15 says:

“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

While others may struggle, He can promote you effortlessly. If you ever want to get results, His mercy is the most essential factor.

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” – Genesis 39:21

Joseph enjoyed favour with men in the prison because of God’s mercy. If you need anyone to favour you, seek God’s mercy first. He will grant you favour before them in the mighty name of Jesus.

Thursday Prayer Points:

Almighty Saviour, I exalt and worship Your majesty for who You are

Father, show me mercy in every area in the mighty name of Jesus.

Precious Father, today and beyond, may divine mercy speak for me instead of my qualifications, in Jesus’ name

Gracious God, show me Your mercy in the profession You have called me into. Where human connection matters for others, I seek Your mercy, in Jesus’ name

DAILY DECLARATIONS

I decree that doors of divine mercy will always open for me and my household in all ramifications, in Jesus’ name

I decree and declare that because I’m a product of mercy, I will not struggle to be recognized, in Jesus’ name

I decree that going forward, I will find favour in the eyes of God and men because His Divine mercy speaks for me always, in Jesus’ name

Bible Reading in One Year: Matthew 12:1-21, Mark 3, Luke 6
