President Muhammadu Buhari and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have prayed for the quick recovery of leader of the Tijjaniyya Islamic Movement, Sheikh Mohammed Dahiru Bauchi, who is reportedly ill.
According to a Thursday statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the president’s wishes were conveyed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ibrahim Ali Pantami on his behalf.
President Buhari said he wished the Sheikh a ”speedy recovery and good health”.
The President prayed to Allah to increase the health of the Islamic leader for his noble “teachings to continue to guide his followers and the nation in our efforts to build a just and compassionate society.”
”My prayers go out to him. May Allah give him good health and speedy recovery.”

Shehu quoted Minister Pantami as reporting to the President that the Sheikh’s condition has become much better.
Pantami was quoted as saying that the Islamic leader thanked the President for the care and goodwill, praying for the continued success of the administration in nation building, peace and prosperity.
In the same vein, Atiku described the news of the cleric’s illness as “disturbing”.
“Considering the outstanding leadership and friendship the revered Sheikh shares with people across the country, I am sending my best wishes for his speedy recovery and good health.
“Get well soon Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi and may Almighty Allah continue to preserve, protect and strengthen you for the continued service to our people,” Atiku said.
