Daddy Showkey Offers Police Important Info About E-Money Investigation

Daddy Showkey Laments Death Threats

Veteran musician, Daddy Showkey has advised the police and other law enforcement agencies to investigate the sources of people’s poverty and not just their wealth.

He stated this in an apparent reaction to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu’s directive on billionaire socialite, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money recently.

The police boss had directed the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu to investigate the flamboyant lifestyle of the record label executive.

He also ordered the withdrawal of the six policemen attached to E-Money following allegations that he treated them like domestic servants.

Following the directive, the clearing and forwarding agent was said to have been grilled for hours by police detectives on Tuesday before being allowed to go home.

Daddy Showkey took to social media to share a video in which he cautioned security agencies against hounding people under the guise of investigating their source of wealth.

According to him, investigating the source of people is good but it should be done in a respectable manner.

“Investigation! Investigation!! Investigate!!! When a man doesn’t have, they won’t investigate him. When he has, they suddenly investigate him! Please, let them investigate poverty too!”
