Cynthia Morgan, whose real name is Sherifat Morgan, is a fast rising Nigerian dancehall singer regarded by many of her fans has the queen of Nigerian dancehall with popular hits like, Lead me on, I’m taken and Popori.

The 23 year old grew up in Benin City before moving to Lagos to pursue a career in the Nigerian music industry, where she is currently signed on to Jude Okoye’s Northside Inc.

In a recent interview with The Nation, the diva opened up about several aspects of her personal life.

On her sex life

Cynthia Morgan confirmed that she has a boyfriend, but refused to talk about him, keeping her private life as private as she can. The singer said she knows she is sexy but she isn’t a sex addict when asked how often she has sex.

On her first kiss

“I was ten. There was this half caste boy in my church that was a bit older than me. I liked him and he liked me too. He was the one that gave me my first kiss, but we did not see again after then because he moved back to Germany”.

On her family life

The singer grew up with her grandparents and her mum raised her as a single mum. When asked how her relationship with her father is she said “not good at all”.

On politics

Cynthia stated that she has her permanent voter’s card (PVC) and will be casting her vote in the upcoming elections. She further mentioned that if she hadn’t pursued a career in the music industry, she would have read medicine and gone into politics later in life. “Even now that I am a musician, I will still go into politics when I come of age”.
