Following the Leicester City’s man’s heroics for Nigeria against Iceland, CSKA Moscow fans want their club to make Musa’s loan move permanent.
Musa was a mainstay of the CSKA team for a number of years before his move to Leicester city. At Leicester, he was unable to replicate his form and soon after he was sent back on loan to CSKA Moscow where he helped the team get to second place and to the Quarter Finals of the Europa League where they lost to Arsenal.
Russian fans celebrated Musa’s brace in bars around the nation as he’s become a sort of adopted son of the country.
When asked what his future holds, the winger said; “In the next two weeks, I will decide if I’m going to stay or leave.
“If it’s possible to come back to CSKA, I would love to, it’s my die-hard club.
“There is nothing I can pay them for the past seasons I’ve been with them other than to say ‘thank you very much’.
“They helped me get back to the style of play I had today. Were it not for CSKA, I would not have been in the World Cup.”
It is hoped that Musa can replicate his form against Argentina to help Nigeria out of the group stages.
