Pandemonium has erupted in Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as two chieftain, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Dan’illela and Alhaji Ali Bagudo have emerged as chairmen of the party.
Investigation by reporters yesterday in Birnin Kebbi indicated that the two chairmen were appointed recently after an emergency meetings by parallel executive members of the party.
Dan’illela was allegedly unanimously appointed as chairman of the party by majority of the executive members during their emergency meeting held in January while Bagudo travelled to Abuja headquarters of the party, only to come back last weekend together with some national officers of the party after their meeting for some hours in Birnin Kebbi, was announced as the new chairman of the party for state.
Public Relations Officer of the party in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Ummai while reacting to the crisis said as far as the party’s executive members are concerned, Dan’illela remains the only recognised chairman of the party in Kebbi state.
