Nigerian OAP, Toke Makinwa has pleaded with the Federal Government to give every Nigerian at least N10k to ease the coronavirus lockdown.
Toke pleaded with the Federal Government to at least credit the accounts of Citizens of the country with N10, 000 to ease the economic effect of the lockdown extension.
she tweeted: “Lock down, lock down the least you can do is credit everyone’s account, even if it’s 10k. BVN is available yet you want those who have resorted to being their own government die of hunger? 14 days more is about to bite even harder”
Earlier on, President Muhammadu Buhari announced a 14-day extension to the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun states to help curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a televised address on Monday, Buhari said “it has become necessary to extend the current restriction of movement”

There are currently 323 confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria, with 71 percent of them confirmed in Lagos and the Federal capital territory of Abuja.
“It is a matter of life and death,” Buhari said of the nation’s response. “The repercussions of any premature end to the lockdown action are unimaginable.”
