In a recent interview, Crayon opened up about the challenges he and his family faced before his rise to fame. He recounted a difficult period in his life when his parents were thrown out of their home in Ojo due to outstanding rent of just N18,000.
During that time, his father had agreed to vacate their previous residence with the hope of moving into a new house provided by a church member. Unfortunately, they were unaware that the new house’s rent was overdue, as the church member failed to inform them.
Upon moving into the new house, they were confronted by the landlord, who demanded the overdue rent payment. Unable to pay the amount, Crayon’s family was forced to see their belongings being thrown out of the house. He shared the heart-wrenching experience of watching his parents plead with the landlord for mercy, all because of a small sum of N18,000.
This difficult phase of Crayon’s life shaped his perspective and journey towards success, and he uses his experiences as motivation to reach greater heights. Despite the hardships, he managed to overcome the challenges and establish himself as a talented artist, culminating in the release of his recent album, “Trenches To Triumph.”
